HOTELS With Du Chatelle, Routes of Leisure and Culture, you’ll sleep in hotels carefully selected for their comfort and luxury, located in historic buildings (castles, palaces, old convents, mansions). Sometimes we’ll sleep in beautiful country estates, turned into comfortable hotels, where we’ll enjoy the beauty of the Spanish countryside. In a few cases if the route requires it, we’ll rest in a charming rural hotel with delightful rustic character and family flavour. All rooms have PRIVATE BATHROOMS. |

LENGTH OF OUR ROUTES The length of your journey depends entirely on your wishes. We can make arrangements for 3, 4, 5 up to 15 days, although we think 7 days is a perfect length. From Madrid, we can organize one or two day excursions for those people whose time may be limited. Several important World Heritage Site cities – Toledo, Avila, Segovia, Alcala de Henares, Salamanca – are all within a few hours’ drive of Madrid. |

HOW WE TRAVEL We travel in complete comfort in a spacious minivan or minibus, accompanied by a multilingual guide at all times. |

HANDICRAFTS - PURCHASES Spain is a country with an enormous variety of crafts. As part of the pleasure of travelling, in all our routes we will include visits to antique shops as well as to shops where crafts and typical local products are sold. There is an impressive variety of products from which to choose: pottery, ceramics, tiles, craft rugs, hand-woven blankets and shawls, baskets and mats woven from esparto grass, leather goods, silverwork, damascene, embroidery, copperware, iron work, etc. And we won’t forget for the gourmets - all the delicious regional foods and wines. |

RESERVATIONS In order to provide our best services, we recommend you to plan you journey at least 90 days in advance. As you know, Spain is a very tourist-friendly country. Our recommendation is to avoid travelling during the busy times of year. |
